Fashion houses are upgrading to Osram Powerball HCI:
Attractive light for exclusive fashions
The new "Wöhrl City" in Nuremberg city centre now has ultra-high-quality sales lighting for presenting merchandise in the best possible light. The famous fashion store decided to install Powerball Shoplight lamps from Osram as part of the major renovation and expansion of its premises. The combination of a warm light colour with excellent colour rendering thanks to its particularly high red component makes these lamps an excellent choice.
A total of more than 3000 of these new metal halide lamps are used. 1500 of these provide effective lighting for exclusive ladies’ fashions over the four floors of the clothing store. In the extended men’s fashion store, the 1000 installed Powerball Shoplight lamps are supplemented by 700 Powerball HCI TC lamps. And the wide range of clothing and equipment for fitness training, mountaineering, trekking and winter sports, stretching over three floors, is impressively spotlighted by 600 Shoplight lamps.
The lamps installed in downlights and power rail spotlights belong to the new generation of metal halide lamps with round ceramic discharge vessels. These guarantee that the luminous intensity and colour stability remain constant throughout the entire lives of the lamps.
Shoplight lamps are available in Warm White De Luxe (930 WDL) with a colour temperature of 3000 Kelvin. Its colour rendering of Ra > 95 places it in group 1A. A special feature of these lamps is their high red rendering of Ra > 60, making them the first metal halide lamps to achieve this figure.
